Russell R. Lewis was born on
August 20, 1970
in Washington D. C. He attended
Duke
Ellington
School
of the Arts from 1984 to 1988 where he studied Communication Arts. After graduating from Duke Ellington, he went to
Virginia
Commonwealth
University
in
Richmond
,
Virginia
. There he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Art and Illustration. After graduating from V. C. U., Russell pursued his career in Art working at organizations such as; Hargrove Decorating Corporation in Lanham,
Maryland
and the Phillips Collections in Washington, DC. Russell currently works at PSI Family Services in
Washington
,
DC
. There he is a Creative Arts Counselor, working with mentally and/or physically disabled individuals teaching them to express themselves through Art. He has also taken part in numerous Art exhibits in
Virginia

Maryland
and
Washington
,
DC
.
